Karnalisoft started in Surkhet with a simple belief: businesses outside Kathmandu deserve the same quality of digital craftsmanship as anyone else. That belief still drives every project we take on.
Our Story
From Surkhet to serving all of Nepal.
We were founded by a small group of developers and designers who noticed that most web agencies were concentrated in Kathmandu — and that businesses in Karnali Province, Lumbini, and the mid-west were underserved.
We opened our Surkhet office first, serving local restaurants, schools, and clinics who needed professional websites but could not find reliable partners nearby. Word spread. We opened our Kathmandu office. Today we work with clients in all seven provinces.
The name “Karnalisoft” is a nod to our roots in the Karnali region — Nepal's largest province and one of its most resilient communities.

Ramesh Thapa
Co-founder & Lead Developer · Surkhet
Ramesh grew up in Birendranagar, Surkhet and studied computer engineering in Kathmandu. He has been building for the web since 2016, with a focus on performance-first Next.js applications. He leads all technical architecture decisions at Karnalisoft.
Priya Shrestha
Co-founder & Head of Design · Kathmandu
Priya studied graphic design at Kathmandu University and spent three years at a Thamel-based agency before co-founding Karnalisoft. She leads UI/UX and branding projects, combining rigorous user research with a distinctly Nepali visual sensibility.
Sujan Karki
E-Commerce & Integrations Specialist · Kathmandu
Sujan specialises in Nepali payment gateway integrations, custom e-commerce builds, and digital marketing. He has launched over 30 online stores for Nepali businesses and managed ad campaigns generating over NPR 50 million in attributed revenue.
Mina Budha
SEO & Content Strategist · Surkhet
Mina joined Karnalisoft from Surkhet after building a successful freelance SEO practice serving mid-western Nepal businesses. She leads all organic search and content strategy, with deep expertise in local SEO for the Karnali Province and national campaigns.
